Project Director - Infrastructure (Future Opportunities)

As a member of our Infrastructure group, you will provide insight and innovative construction solutions to ensure the successful execution of various infrastructure projects, such as: roadways, highways and interchanges; bridges and overpasses; water and wastewater treatment facilities; transmission lines; general/public transportation including airports, seaports and light rail transit lines (LRTs); and conventional and alternative power generation like wind farms and district energy facilities. You will also further hone your skills operating under various delivery methods including Design-Build, P3 (Public-Private Partnership), Construction Management and IPD (Integrated Project Delivery).

 

The Project Director - Infrastructure  reports directly to the SVP and will have an in-depth knowledge of bidding process, infrastructure construction of major projects, and are involved at an early stage in the development of the project to lead in development of the procurement plan, and have a leadership role in the execution team.  

As a Project Director at Graham you will:

  • Build and mentor a productive, cohesive bid team with the ability to successfully follow through with a winning bid from inception to completion

  • Is responsible for ensuring a successful completion of projects, their profitability, and for retaining owners as continuing clients of the company

  • Responsible for the comprehensive management of bid schedule and budget

  • Collaboration throughout project phases including planning, preparation, monitoring, analysis and strategizing

  • Develop client relationships by offering operational and financial solutions, and understanding/anticipating their needs

  • Maintaining client relationships through execution excellence

  • Review and negotiate contracts. Liaise with Management and legal counsel as appropriate

  • Projects and operational staffing planning - hire, coach/mentor, provide direction, and review performance

  • Overseeing of Project Operations, Engineering, Methods and Procedures

  • Manage and control the project progress, costs and budgets throughout the project life

  • Advise the SVP on project status and results in a timely fashion

  
To be Successful at Graham, you will have the following qualifications and experience:
   
  • Successful completion of a Civil Engineering degree and/or a Diploma or Certificate in a related field

  • Minimum 10 years of recent experience in rail, tunnels and highway construction supervision, design, or project management as a Project Director or in a similar role

  • Minimum 10 years of construction industry experience in a management level position

  • Responsible for Project Management on all light rail projects over 500 Million dollars

  • Experience on tunnel projects valued over 200 Million dollars

  • Knowledge of bypass construction projects valued over 150 Million dollar

  • Recent experience working on P3 pursuits and/or execution experience

  • Recent experience in gaining major bids with joint venture partners

  • Proven management of successful infrastructure and construction bids
